The North Middlesex Regional School District (NMRSD) School Committee is seeking an Ashby community representative to serve on the NMRSD Finance Subcommittee.
The Finance Subcommittee provides guidance to the School Committee on financial matters such as the proposed budget and projected revenue, budget transfers, financial matters brought to the Subcommittee by administration or the School Committee, as well as any significant mid-year budget impacts.
The Subcommittee also manages and maintains a five-year plan, evaluating capital needs throughout the district and providing the School Committee with oversight on capital priorities.
The Subcommittee meets virtually at least once a month, typically on a weekday morning.
Interested applicants should email a letter of interest to Robin Eibye at reibye@nmrsd.org by Oct. 4. Applicants should include their reason for applying, as well as any relevant budgeting experience.
Members of the Finance Subcommittee will review resumes and conduct interviews with candidates. The Subcommittee will make a recommendation to the full School Committee, who will make the final hiring decision.
